Came here a few days ago with a few fellow Yelpers....man, this place is the real deal! My husband and I definitely enjoyed mapping out our most recent Italian vacation on the place mats they have on the tables!
Pro tip- Tuesday is 1/2 wine bottles. Our table split some Pinot Grigio and Prosecco.
Off of Yelper Tonya P's suggestion, we ordered a cheese pizza as a tizer. I honestly don't know if I would have done this if Tonya didn't encourage it. However, I now am going to recommend this to everyone! Order the cheese pizza. Not a bunch of rando toppings on it. Just cheese. It's that amazing.
I settled on a side ceasar salad and a side of meatballs. My husband got the special for the day, which was angel hair pasta with a butter/white wine sauce and loads of seafood (shrimp, scallops, etc). His pasta was fantastic!! The shrimp in it were the jumbo shrimp, not the wimpy baby ones! My meatballs were easily the highlight for me. The flavor was so perfect. Everyone around the table seemed very pleased with their dishes!
We decided to split a few desserts for the table. I tried a bite of the cannoli (excellent filling), a bite of the tiramisu, and a bite of this lemoncello cake (perfection!).
Absolutely fantastic evening that was made even better by service. Our waitress may have actually been the sweetest woman on the planet. No exaggeration. Zio will definitely become our go to Italian from here on out.
