  • Henry's is not a bad place. They used to be go-to store when I first got interested in seriously following photography. I quickly became aware that their prices are marked notably higher then their competitors. Their sales staff are friendly and willing to help. I have had the occasional run in with a sales member who was not able to answer my questions. Henry's also has a small used section. You can find better prices on eBay or Craigslist, but you do get the advantage of seeing the product in person and testing it. Their used section is pretty much limited to 35mm SLRs and DSLRs. They don't carry much of a medium format selection and even less of large format. And by less I mean I have never seen any used (or for that matter new) large format systems. Henry's is aimed at the amateur and serious amateur market. My suggestion, to avoid paying Henry's marked up prices, is doing a little research and checking to see if you can get your product from another dealer in the city for cheaper. My money is betting you can. PROS: Accessible, non-intimidating, good stock CONS: Overpriced, busy, not all staff are knowledgeable
