| - I was previously going to F45 (about a year), and OTF (about 2 years) and was looking for something new. Facebook marketing is excellent I guess, since I saw an ad for a PowerHour opening up in the Northwest (95/Sky Pointe). I was so excited... I had to give it a try!
Now, I LOVED the weight training at F45, it actually really help me a lot and I'm now more comfortable lifting heavier weights (who would've thought?!), and OTF I liked the basic concept (just not waitlists for classes, partner workouts, and 30-ish minutes on the treadmill... since I already run about 5 hours a week). So, come to find out, PowerHour is like the best of both worlds!
You spend NO MORE than 12 minutes on the treadmill (3 blocks at 4 minutes each), 12 minutes on the rower (3 blocks at 4 minutes each - alternating between rower/treadmill), and 30 minutes on the floor. The floor has kettle bells (yay!), bosu balls, weights, medicine balls, etc. The workouts change daily, but I'm so excited since the treadmill work is helping me actually with my fartlek (speed intervals) for my runs which I never like to do :) I love that everyday is different; they offer days with a "power circuit" and Wednesdays are "power boxing" (which is way better than what I expected). There is NO partner work either which is nice since you can really focus on YOUR workout!
I signed up for a membership after my first class, as I loved it so much! I'm so excited for the NW location but will continue to go 4-5 days a week at the existing location :) The trainers are fantastic (and they correct your form if needed) and everyone is so nice. As an added bonus - they have Pressed Juicery juices for sale and always have specials!
It's a very comfortable environment, and there is also a STRETCH class on Sundays! Definitely glad I found this gem of a workout!
