| - Do not live here!! There is not enough parking!! Listen to me before you decide to live here!! There are literally not enough parking spaces to accomodate everyone living in this complex. I now hate living here because the parking situation has caused me so much stress and has impacted my life.
Yes, each unit does get a single covered parking space, which is fine if you live alone. But most of these units are split floor plans with two master bedrooms. Obviously many people are going to be living with roommates or at least sharing the unit with other people that also have vehicles.
This means one of you will have the covered parking space, and everyone else is left to fend for themselves.
It is completely infuriating and enraging to come home after a long day at work and cruise through the entire complex and not be able to find a single spot to park. You can tell people have this problem because cars will be zooming up and down through the parking lots trying to find a spot. I've seen people squeel their tires to nab a newly open spot, and jump out of their car cursing.
Even more enraging is the fact that management has decided to reserve some of the open uncovered spots for people who want to pay an extra $50 each month. These spots are marked as reserved with a sign and a number. This further limits the available spaces for everyone to park in. They do this to make a profit at the expense of tennants and visitors.
How has this impacted my life? When it's nearly impossible to find a spot to park your vehicle, you become hesitant to do anything to lose your parking space once you have obtained one. After you're home, it makes you feel trapped. Also, if you come home late in the evening, you can expect to find zero parking spaces, so don't go out and do anyting that will cause you to come home late. Also, this affects your ability to have anyone over to visit. Since there are no spots for tennants, there are definitely no spots for visitors. We have had so many bad experiences with parking, my girlfriend has refused to come over because of this.
Let me explain further. The parking situation is so desperate, people are forced to leave their vehicles anywhere they can fit them. All through the complex, cars are crammed along curbs, in front of the office, and in front of the dumpsters. People regularly take the chance and park along the red painted curbs. I made the mistake of doing this once after coming home late at night. I couldn't find any spots, so in desperation, I parked along the red curb by the front office because all the other curbs and spaces were lined with cars already. The next morning (about 0720), I walked out to go to work and discovered my car was gone. It had been towed. I now have blue writing on my windshield from the tow company. I've left it there as a mark of injustice and I have noticed other cars in the complex with blue writing on their windshields as well, indiciating they have experienced the same problems.
After my car got towed from my own complex, I tried parking in the office building parking lots across the street. I noticed other cars from my complex over there as well. After parking there one night, the next morning there was a giant orange sticker on my windshield warning me my car would get towed if I parked there again.
At this point, there are very few options for parking. My last resort will be to park at Safeway and walk all the way down the street to go home. Or maybe I'll park at Thunderbird Park down the street and walk home from there. Utterly ridiculous. Enraging. Infuriating. Unbelievable. I pay rent to live in this apartment complex, and it's nearly impossible for me and many others to actually park there and have access to where we live.
What triggered me to write this review? I walked outside to go to work this morning and saw a guy walking around and calling the number listed on the tow company signs posted around the complex. I overheard him talking angrily about his car getting towed. Yet another tennant getting screwed trying to live in this complex. I can't wait to move somewhere else. Do not live here unless you want to deal with this on a daily basis.
As far as other things... the jacuzzis are tiny, the gym is ok but also small, they have been making lots of "improvements" to the complex lately, painting the buildings, repaving the parking lots, etc, but this has been going on for months and years. The upstairs split floor plan units are nice because they have great vaulted ceilings and the second floor patios are nice, but if you live on the bottom floor, the patios are basically useless because they're so small and you don't get any vaulted ceilings. I would hate to live in a bottom unit. Living in a top unit makes it a little more tolerable with the parking situation, but I can't imagine why anyone would want to live in a ground floor unit and deal with that.
