| - This is my first Yelp review and like many, I read tons of reviews but never take the time to write one, whether a good or bad experience. But....after reading the five other reviews on this company, I HAD to speak up! Honestly, I had to double check the address and company information just to make sure it was the same company. I can't believe my experience was so drastically different.
I rented a home through them for just over three years. EVERY phone call, inquiry or request I made, (rent payments, repairs or eventually, my final walk-through and move out) was returned promptly and courteously! Even when I completely screwed up the payment of my rent for three months and almost got myself evicted (TWICE), they were respectful, understanding and helped me get my issue resolved and tried to help me feel less like the idiot I was for messing it up so badly in the first place.
Every repair request I made (maybe four or five over the course of three years?), was done so immediately and without dispute. Even at my final walk-though, when a person I paid and trusted, left behind unwanted belongings at the house, the ARP inspector seemed more concerned about my needing the items than the company having to dispose of them for me. I accepted responsibility and expected to be charged for the removal but was not.
I work in the same industry and I often tell people that property management is a thankless, underpaid and underappreciated job. I'm used to hearing how bad management companies can be. I cannot believe that over the course of three years and at least 20 interactions with ARP, that I got "lucky" with my experience. I think, as a tenant, sometimes we forget that the person on the other end of the phone, isn't the one responsible for something having gone wrong with the house, our paycheck or whatever else you may be upset about. At ARP, I found that when I sincerely asked for help, I got it. And i got it quickly and graciously. For every ARP employee who assisted me, I thank you and will continue to recommend you!
