  • "Complete Waste of Time" according to the Service Manager. No reason to use their online appointment service. Typically I do not schedule auto service appointments just to get my oil change, but, I thought I'd help them out with their scheduling, plus it would give save me little time. What was I thinking??? Goodyear Online Appointment Service is, apparently, an oxymoron. I went online early this morning eager to set it up an appointment for my 10,000 mile check-up for 3:00 pm. My car had only 9000 mile, so I know it needed an oil change, but I also wanted a multi-point inspection: tires, brakes, battery, etc., as well. The online scheduler gave me 33 completely different service options, each one posting a price for the various services. Since the "see service and offer details" under Oil Change didn't say anything about checking other systems, topping fluid level, tire pressure, etc. The only option that I considered to meet my need was the 29 point inspection - I failed to check the Oil Change. So, when I arrived at 3:00 and was told by the Service Manager, that since I didn't select "Oil Change" the online request was a "complete waste of time". They were friendly and I was confident that they satisfactory job. All in all it took the normal 1:30 minutes to get the oil changed. The 29 point inspection was not performed......damn!
