  • A Korea Town staple! I'm a former Annexer who laments that fact that I don't get to walk past Hodo Kwaja randomly to buy treats whenever I have a hankering. That said, I still make the pilgrimmage when I'm in the area. I love the red bean flavour but I'm partial to the mashed potato with almonds, which adds an interesting sweet and lightly nutty flavour to the mix. I love sweets, but I'm also attracted to savoury baked goods (probably my Eastern European heritage) so these adorable treats really hit the spot. If you've never been? Stop by and try it out :) Also, the staff here are always so friendly, and last night when I went by after a rainstorm, we ordered 30 and we were actually given almost 40, a 'rainy day bonus'! (That's when I realized I've done a disservice by never writing a review of this wonderful bakery!)
