Ive been here a few times, and didnt realize how disappointing it was until I went to other hibachi places (Samurai, benihana, a few others). My most recent trip made me decide to never go back. I had gotten a promotional email from Shinto about $12 hibachi on Tuesdays. Turns out, thats a lie! The waiter said he had no idea what I was talking about and would not honor it! (I even had the email message with me. Their "specials" were completely different than the email I had just received 2 weeks prior). I went with a friend, and we decided to have hibachi anyway. Theres an extra charge for fried rice. So my disappointment was mounting, but what finished the deal was when the chef did no real "show" for us. He did not do any of the mouth catching tricks, where he tosses broccoli/chicken/etc at you to catch with your mouth. Did no tricks with the eggs. Just cooked in front of us, plainly. Are you kidding me? Food was decent, but nothing special. Dont waste your time here. The only good things here (mostly the atmosphere/decor) can be found anywhere else for a better price and better service.
