| - Did you know, the theater district in Cleveland is the second largest outside of Broadway in NYC? We basically have our own slice of broadway, right here in the CLE!
I have always been a big supporter of the arts, so I have been coming to the Playhouse Square theater for years. I have seen countless broadway tours, local shows, comedians, and concerts here...and at a fraction of the price I would pay to see it on broadway or big venue. Yes, there have been some duds in the mix, but for the most part, I have enjoyed most of the performances I've seen.
The architecture is breathtaking. Every time I sit there, I think about how the theaters were built without all of the technology we have these days. It's unbelievable the amount of detail that went into every inch of the place. You don't see things like this every day people!
Recently, they've made improvements and additions to the space, allowing for different types and more shows. If you have never made it out for a show, I suggest perusing the long list of shows and events held here. There is something for everyone!!!
Lastly, how could you not love the chandelier and retro marquees and signs outside!? It is a great addition to the city's facade and a perfect place to take a selfie...or get engaged :-)
