  • $130 for a family of 4 and 2 hours. Not exactly worth the price of admission. Disappointing on multiple levels. 1. Expensive. Granted it takes a lot of money to build an aquarium in the desert on regulated property. 2. Not quite up and running just yet. Is there supposed to be an octopus somewhere? There are signs and pictures naming the fish in the tanks, but no additional information. 3. The seacarousel is missing a few turtles. The pre-recorded informational tour talks about several turtles in the aquarium, but there was only one turtle the day we went. Neat concept, but still wasn't that impressive. 4. Some tanks are still murky. Not as bad as I thought it was going to be be as stated from other reviews, but still not great. 5. Herded through the throngs of sheeple. I felt as if I was just being pushed along by the crowd. Not an enjoyable leisurely walk through. We did go on Veterans Day, so perhaps it was just really crowded. 6. The tide pool. My son was so disappointed he couldn't feel any sea creatures. We had to push through the kids vying to get to the small tide pool to touch creatures. Only to finally get a place and there was nothing to touch. The sting rays were wisely staying out of reach of hands and it seemed as if there were about 4 anemones for the 100's of kids. Of course, the bigger older kids were the ones able to get to the anemones. 7. Terrible 3D movie. Other than occasional particles, nothing else was. For $130 admission, they should have bought theater seating. Instead it's benches with a cushion. My oldest couldn't see the screen without standing. For such a large place, it was disappointing and I couldn't wait to leave. The aquarium is swallowed up in an outside developing strip mall. There are places for "coming soon" retailers: "it's sugar" and "johnny rocket." I will not go running back. My children enjoyed it, but I wouldn't say we $130 enjoyed it. I would have rather gone to the movies.
