  • Best frickin' calzones on earth...well maybe just in AZ, but you won't be disappointed! Huge and filled with ricotta and mozzarella , and 2 toppings- add the option of it covered with sauce and mozzarella and you'll be in heaven. Yum!! Update: History: I've been a customer of "Little Chicagos" pizza since 2006 or 07. After several months of great calzones, (only tried them this past 12 months...I am saddened to say that the above calzone praise is null and void\ my previous comment is no longer the case at "Little Chicago" in south Scottsdale. The quality of the entire menu has taken a nose dive. We've been regulars for order out both delivery and pick up - we were familiar with the food, but my love was the calzones. The last two times my calzones have arrived as thin as a quesadilla with a sad amount of cheese and sauce. The food looks and tastes cheap - the calzones were once huge abs covered with sauce and melts cheese, not anymore. I positively believe that the company has taken their most popular item, realized that their price was low - and they cut the dough, fillings (were wrong more often or not and/or omitted) and the cheese to keep costs down. Why not keep the same product quality and raise the price? If product had stayed the same great quality and a buck or so extra as necessary to maintain calzone-awesomeness, customers like us would maintain loyalty thereby, increasing patronage and long term cost benefits. Unfortunately after multiple orders and a well spaced amount of time spent in efforts to check if product quality was a human error: I can confidently say that the quality of "Little Chicago's" pizza, calzones and pastas are changed for the worse for good. We won't be purchasing or suggesting this restaurant again.
