I had my oil changed and tires rotated at this place and 1 day later I was on the side of I-85 with my caliper burnt and smoke coming from my wheel. Car couldn't be driven anymore so I had it towed back to Tire Kingdom (TK) assuming it may have something to do with the tire rotation. They looked it over and said it had nothing to do with the rotation (which may have been true but seemed a bit coincidental) but they proceeded to tell me I needed up to $1200 worth of work. They were going to charge me $540 for front brake pads ($200), 1 rotor ($65), new caliper ($145), and brake flush ($70). I found this to be too high after doing some research, so I had my car towed to a reputable, honest mechanic: Nick's Auto in Plaza Midwood. Same exact job but also including a new hose cost me $360. TK also told me I might need a new control arm because my bushing was broken (would've cost me another $600 to take me to almost $1200 in total). Nick's assured me the bushing was fine and I didn't need that repair. I am so glad I made the effort to re-tow my car to go to a better, more honest mechanic that isn't willing to scam its customers. The guys at TK are really nice (or seem to be) but I personally feel they are over charging and taking advantage of their customers. I know chains tend to be more expensive but this price difference was unreal. It isn't fair and this practice shouldn't be supported. Shop around and tread cautiously if looking to take your car here. Even a minor oil change/tire rotation could end up a disaster with this place trying to drain your wallet dry.
