This is my third time staying in the cabins and they never disappoint us. We drove up at the beginning of a winter storm and snow chains were required. When we arrived to the cabins it was too early to check in so we popped over to the office to let them know we had made it and we're going to the lodge for breakfast.
The girls on the office processed my payment quickly and told me that due to the storm they would be calling me when our cabin was available because it would be earlier than the normal 2pm check in and that the lodge was closing at noon.
We stayed in cabin 6 one of the lower cabins. It is equipped with a gas fireplace, king bed, huge tub, nice balcony, mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot.
If arriving during storms I would recommend bringing snacks. In the winter ( as we discovered ) I encourage you to probably pack something incase the lodge closes. In our case it did and I was thankful I had packed sandwiches, chips, cheese & crackers and sodas. That became our dinner.
The office has a great selection of games and movies for rent. No wifi or cable tv up here in the mountains but then again you won't need it.
They were working diligently to shovel snow so we could exit and extended our checkout time so we were comfortable in our comfy cabin.
This is a family favorite location we highly recommend staying here but please be kind and do not carve your names into the log cabin walls it looks tacky and is tasteless to do.
Photos will follow to give you an idea of the decor as each cabin is decorated differently.
