It was a long and busy day at work on a Saturday especially whenever there is an event on the Strip. So, I decided to try this coffee shop after work that I had bookmarked for awhile and came across a large amount of positive reviews from fellow Yelpers. It actually took me awhile to locate this cafe, but I didn't mind since it felt like another hidden treasure was waiting to be discovered.
From the moment I walked in the shop, I noticed that they had a lot of coffee bags that were stocked and had a roasting machine in one corner. At first, I thought it was decor. I then came across one of the Baristas, named John, who was working at the time. He was very welcoming and explained the coffee beans as well as the process of roasting in shop. We got to the point of our 10 min conversation about coffee and how he used to work with a green apron at another giant coffee chain. His expertise in coffee left a good impression about this place. I personally love coffee and espresso drinks as I am a certified Barista myself.
John suggested a delicious espresso drink that became a new favorite of mine. He suggested the Heisenberg, which is two shots of espresso with chocolate and caramel, but I got it over iced. I enjoyed it from the first sip to the last drop. The crema of the espresso shot was simply delicious and very potent. The body of the espresso was caramelized and chocolatey and paired well with the caramel and chocolate sauce that gave the drink an overall smooth taste with a hint of sweetness.
