A friend told me about this place and I just had to try the Oxtail soup. Keep in mind that they start serving it at 11pm.
We arrived at the place and wasn't suprise that there was a line to get in. A lot of people, but not overwhelmingly busy. It wasn't a long wait and they do a good job sitting people as fast as possible.
When we sat down, we were quickly greeted and was able to order a few drinks while perusing the menu. After four refills of water, we still have not seen our server. After finishing off my fifth glass of water, the skies split open and a ray of sunshine beamed into the room as choir of angel's voices sang along with the sound of trumpets fanfaring the arrival of our server. "Two Oxtail Soups, please."
It was about 10 minutes and the food finally arrived. Steaming hot oxtail soup. Three large pieces of meat accompanied with chopped celery and carrot swimming in a delicious broth. A side of cilantro and ginger makes this dish complete. The broth had a great balance of flavor and the meat fell right off the bones. So delicious!
Finally stuffed and about to explode, it took awhile for our server to bring us the check. I think I dozed off a bit, I was so stuffed.
Overall, it was a good experience and at about $10 for the soup,it was a great experience.
