| - Spoke to the receptionist on the phone, asked questions on price and came in for a consult prior to my appointment. I believed I would be spending about $150-$180 on my cut and color. So, when the gal says "that will be $270" I just about fell over. Now If I had been in love with the style and color, it still would have been shock, just easier to bear. But frankly, I was not impressed. Apparently neither were any friends, family or co-workers as not ONE person had anything nice to say about the new color.
The stylist offered to tint my brows while my color was processing. I said "sure, that would be great". But she spackled it all over my eyelids and WAY above the brow like a kindergartener who does not know how to color in the lines. After she unsuccessfully tried to remove the errant dye from my skin, I had to go meet with clients. I looked ridiculous walking out of there and it took 2 days to scrub off the extra dye on my face. When I arrived home, my daughter said "you didn't go see clients looking like that did you?" Sad, Just sad.
Now just for the record, I have had a couple of very talented perfectionists cut and/or color my hair while living in Toronto. So I know what can be done and at what price.
