| - I hadn't been to the dentist in years, lived homeless and an addict for 12 years and it brutalized my teeth, add that to a few horrible experiences at the dentist office as a child - this mixture had me TERRIFIED walking into the dentist office but I had to go, I was in excruciating pain.
The moment I sat down with Dr. Culpepper all the emotions let go. There I sat, a grown woman, sobbing in fear and shame and she took it slow to ensure I felt cared for and safe. Her dental assistant, Ryan - FABULOUS! He joked with me as we took x-rays, we talked about our personal lives and anytime I'd tear up, he'd be there to make me smile.
I haven't been able to eat right for years because of the brokenness, nor been able to smile big showing my teeth without covering my mouth with my hand. Even though I only got a cleaning yesterday, Dr. Culpepper and Ryan took extra time to come up with a 2-year plan to get my mouth healthy and eventually beautiful again, I left that office feeling like a new person.
If you have a fear of dentists or ashamed because of how far gone your teeth are...make an appointment - go see these wonderful people, they will take care of you! I promise!
