| - Banyan Tree is a boutique-type store. I've been here 2x most recently and haven't been incredibly impressed. I find the store to be a mish-mosh of this & that and I can't really figure out what happened to the more gallery-style shop from years ago that I loved. Also lost is customer service. I'm not greeted when I enter, leave, or wander about the shop. I feel like the "hip" people working there are just that, too "hip" for boring, old, little me who may or may not spend money in this shop.
The clothing options lend themselves toward the younger set, and while I'm not old in any sense of the word but I kind of feel like I'm walking through an expensive Forever 21 with baby clothes, jewelry, and random home-goods thrown in.
I love that the CLE is finally being peppered with more "unique" and "boutique" shops that gives a variety the big-box stores do, but I can't get a good read on Banyan Tree or what they're really about.
Honestly, I can't say I'd really go here if I wasn't in the hood walking around, or of my own accord. Just un-impressed overall.
