  • Uber thrilled when we heard Storybook Theatre was locating to the North from their Currie Barracks location in the South. Since I am a former Vancouverite, driving anywhere in the city is never an issue. Over the years we have enjoyed a couple family shows at the Currie Barracks location and are always delighted with the performance. This winter we decided to take in White Christmas at Storybook before Christmas and I was able to get front row seats. Being the venue is smaller (intimate) I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. The performance was stellar...my 5 & 7yr old adored the singing, dancing and costumes. One of the highlights for my kids is always getting their programs autographed afterwards in the lobby. The performers are very courteous & engaging. It's so awesome to live in a city with such amazing talent. Since some of the shows tend to be a couple hours we find it's a good idea to bring snacks for the kids to eat during intermission. This is a great outing for kids and a great way to spend a colder weekend afternoon.
