I will never go to this ER even if I'm dying.
I had vertigo for a few days and I was stuck in bed. I had an appointment with my ENT but few weeks out. The ENT front desk told me to go to the ER to get my symptoms treated in the meanwhile.
Wait wasn't too long to get in the ER. A nurse took my information down. The doctor came in for 1 or 2 minutes, didn't really talk to me, mumbled some stuff about labs she was running without telling me why and then ran off. I didn't see her again. The nurses hooked me up to an Ivy and gave me pills...again I had no clue what was going on. They ran labs on me and at the end diagnosed me with "vertigo", the very same complaint I came in with. The meds didn't help me at all..and they still had the audacity to gave me a prescription for the same meds that weren't helpful. No further explanation as to what I should do. Just a label for what my "diagnosis" was and they sent me tripping out the door. I felt so horrible and helpless. I would've really liked to talk to a real doctor, not the one that runs the same stupid labs on everybody that steps into that ER.
Very disappointing. And now I'm stuck with a giant bill because I was a "level 4" patient since they gave me an IV. Level 4 meaning someone that's in a critical condition. Such absolute BS.
