I really enjoyed this show. When I left I had three thoughts in my mind:
1) It took me back to the day I visited the Magic Castle to see raw magic either literally close up in front of us at a table or in a rather small space where everyone had a good seat not too far from the stage.
2) It was the kind of magic that was just that. The raw spectacle of illusion, misdirection, and humor, that was real and in front of you. It connected you to not only the magic itself, but the performers, and did not rely on the huge setups and stage sets that the large illusion shows have relied on to entertain audiences. It was amazing to have access to the stage and two key props for ALL audience members before the performance begun and post show it was refreshing to see both Penn & Teller hanging for an audience meet and greet outside the theater post show.
3) On the downside, and what kept the last star from appearing, was that in the fact of keeping the show pure they did not have a mega screen close up for the audience to focus on during the show. No issue if you were in the second row, like us, but if you were in the last row of the theater I really don't see how you could enjoy the performance.
