| - Oh Hannah M... Lord knows everyone respects the opinion of someone who thinks choker necklaces are still in style and whose 5 star reviews include nail salons and a lip botox injection. But alas, those of us who appreciate the culinary arts can dine at Vintner with confidence that the right decision was made. This was my girlfriend and I's first visit, though I've been looking forward to it for a while as anyone I know who appreciates food has raved about it- and for all the right reasons.
Location is admittedly strange, but once you're inside, you'd have no idea the restaurant is in an office park. My girlfriend ordered the Truth Serum cocktail which I'm looking forward to *attempting* to recreate. The bread, meat, and cheese plate was possibly my favorite part of the meal. If anything, I'll come back just for that. We had the calamari as an appetizer. Good, not great. My girlfriend ordered the Crab Ravioli and I the Veal Capellini, both of which were excellent. We both also thoroughly enjoyed our desserts.
I've seen a few people complain about service here which comes off a little.... pretentious. If you want to be waited on hand and foot and treated like a snoody tourist, then go have dinner on the strip. But if you want to be treated like a local and gather a sense of belonging to the Summerlin community, go to Vintner and treat your wait staff with the same friendly attitude that you would your neighbor. If you don't get that same down to earth, familiar attitude back, then leave your 'vindicating' 1 star review and don't return. The rest of us will enjoy it.
