  • Value, selection and atmosphere -Total Wine dominates all three in the world of liquor stores. Time and time again they prove to have the cheapest prices. The off-the-shelf selection leaves little to be desired. But, most importantly, I don't feel like a criminal when I shop there. I've always found the standard liquor store atmosphere (cement floors, bad fluorescent lighting, exposed ceilings and gray as far as the eye can see) unwelcoming. It makes me feel as if I am doing something wrong by purchasing booze. Total Wine is the exact opposite. It is a pleasant, almost cozy, shopping experience that makes you feel like a visit to the liquor store should be as common as a trip to the grocery store. It's the total package.
