  • Canada is terrible when it comes to technology. Of course this statement mostly applies if you are the person who likes to tinker with your electronics and have no issue putting your PC together yourself. "Why?" You ask? Well quite simply, in Canada, electronics have always been more expensive than abroad. You name it: cables, electronics, cell phones, heck even camera equipment (I am a photographer) and not to mention the availability of specific models. Plus if you do find them, they tend to be more expensive than across the border. For most end users this is not much of an issue simply because price shopping in large brick and mortar stores is meant for them. Lots of laptops for show which cater to most users although their prices tend to be pricey. Canada Computers caters to a more diverse crowd and although prices might not be as low as online, at the very least if you need something a little more specific they are more likely to carry it as they have a larger selection than a store that tries to be everything to everyone. Not to mention their staff is head and shoulders as a whole more knowledgeable than your standard Future Shop, Circuit City, et al. If you are are looking for a "it does everything you need," sort of computer or something with a little more oomph in specific areas, more HD space, more ram, better screens, then they have more models and more options to play around with. Specially if you are on a budget... or not. A solid place to start if you like to take your time about picking the right electronics for your needs and can't wait for say Tigerdirect or pay for delivery. Good pick.
