| - I had seen a Groupon advertising a $56 eye exam & $150 towards a new pair of glasses. the fact that we wear designer frames & our lenses have anti glare & transition & everything else you can put on lenses that drive the price up, any discount helps. Also being that we can't wear contacts we buy a couple pair each. We called the office to book with the Groupon advertised. I always do this since I have used Groupon with personal companies & it only pays 50% of the advertised cost. knowing this I like to give the company the opportunity to make all of the money rather then 50%. Let this be a lesson to read the fine print & to not concern myself with others income. I quickly found that this location doesn't accept the Groupon nor did they appreciate me calling them direct rather then booking through Groupon. Now if you've ever ran an ad with Groupon or have worked for a company that has you know that Groupon doesn't typically provide you top of the line customers so I understand being a little off put initially when finding that a potential patient may be coming directly from Groupon however I stated when I phoned that both my son & I were existing clients & that I would like to book the appt at the Groupon price I had seen advertised. The woman on the phone immediately changed from her cheerful self to a disgusted tone that sounded as though I had just picked up PennyLanes poo & rubbed it on my face while speaking to her. She told me i needed to call their "Groupon" office which should be able to book me a month out. If I wanted to act like a civilized patient and pay the regular cost I could continue to book my appt with her. I decided to not be a heathen & book with the office we knew. I was told the earliest was a day from then at 12:30. I asked if she could please give us a call if anyone cancelled so that we could take that appt time & she said, "we don't plan on any cancellations". Ok I get most Offices don't plan on cancellations however this is life & shit does happen & people's plans do change therefore cancellations are inevitable but apparently they were not for the next two days at kopolow & girisgen. Ok whatever we will see you in 2 days thank you so much for making us feel like valued patients! Well appt day rolled around we loaded in the car & headed out. Unfortunately our Waze ap didn't alert us to leave early enough & we were 7 minutes late. When we arrived there were 3 girls in the front & we rudely interrupted them by the look of it. The look of disgust they had made me question whether or not I forgot to wear clothes, I quickly looked down & realized that I hadnt thank goodness! The 1 lady, I'm assuming was the head of the group, looked down at her computer screen & said, "it's 12:37pm", I apologized. She said that since I was late they would not be able to see my son because the Dr would be taking a lunch! what in the ?!?!!!, we are 7 minutes late! unfortunately im late to EVERYTHING! So I know for a fact that I have showed up late every previous appt & have never had a problem getting in but the current gate keeper was not having it! Mind you I pulled my son from school but she did not care! I must've had an "I tried to book my appt at the groupon price" because She wouldn't even rebook the appt with me. I said don't you take walk ins? she said they do after 2 but they were already completely booked for today & there would be no cancellations. PennyLane started barking in their office & I didn't try & quiet her because I know she was telling the office staff what she thought of them! my son brought to my attention that what she just told me made no sense because how could they already know that they would be booked with walk ins at 2 when it wasn't even 1 yet?! I was pretty livid at this point. After cooling down I called the office again to book an appt & was told their appt were booked out for the week but we could get there a little before 2 any of the days for the rest of the week & get on the list for walk ins. So the next day we all drove back down to to get on the walk in list. We arrived at 1:50. This time there was just the 1 lady & she said, "I'm sorry we don't have any availability this afternoon all of our walk in slots are taken" my son saw the vein in my neck start to pop out & he grabbed me & walked PennyLane & I out of there before I got arrested. Needless to say I did not call back or show up to be put on their walk in list. I wish I remembered her name off the top of my head so that I could warn any & everyone to watch out for her but don't worry you don't need her name, you can't miss her she is the bitch in the front office who is condescending, rude & has a permanent "I just smelled a fart" look on her face, but if you don't recognize her by that you will definitely recognize her when she treats you as though she just saw you begging for change and living under a freeway overpass 5 minutes before you walked in for your eye exam.
