Meh. The drivers are very friendly and the bus comfortable (standard charter bus but clean and with A/C). The pick up was on time. However the pick up bus only takes you to a terminal where you wait with hundreds of other people to be given a sticker with your bus number and then wait some more to be loaded onto your bus. We were stuck at this terminal for an hour standing around outside in the heat in a chaotic crowd. The trip to the South Rim was made longer than necessary by having to stop at a McDonald's for bathrooms for 20 minutes and then for 45 minutes for lunch. Then we had to do a 10 minute detour through Williams Az. We left the hotel at 7am and didn't get to the south rim until 2pm. If we'd just gone direct we'd have been at the Canyon for lunch. On the bus there is near constant inecesent narration and a video piped through loudspeakers. The narration is nice in some ways- more background information... but there's no escaping the constant loud audio and don't plan on reading or napping. At one point we were stuck in traffic and the driver just kept going on and on as if to fill the time. And one of the movies they blared at us was "Mall Cop 2". Yep, trapped for three hours with terrible movies blaring at you whether you like it or not. Don't do it. There's got to be a better way to get to the Canyon.
