I have been here twice and feel like I can adequately express my opinion. I like it... As an initial note, you must love olive oil. And lots of it. Luckily I do.
I tried the rosa last time as well as some house made spaghetti with only olive oil and garlic by my request. I LOVED the pasta. Perfectly al dente and super flavorful - simple bliss. The rosa was tasty but you must really like the salty hard cheeses - very salty and oily but I am a sucker for pistachios!
This time I got the wise guy -- much better pizza choice! The smokiness in the onions and mozzarella paired with the slightly spicy fennel sausage was delish, and the chewy crust was perfect.
The cons: it is more expensive than it should be -- feels more like LA prices (not a good thing). The other thing that I have actually really NOT liked about the camelback location is the ambiance in that "annex" room for lack of a better word. It is large and open and cold feeling. You feel like your conversation is echoing in everyone's ears and it was distractingly uncomfortable. Perhaps some partitions or something would help -- I don't know, but if you go, ask to sit in the front room, which is where I will be sitting next time.
