I got a suspiciously good price so even though I was visiting Duke, adding in the cheaper air fare it was a much better deal to stay here and drive to Durham. But the location for this motel is in a bit of a sketchy area, it's next to a big abandoned office park which gives the place an odd post apocalyptic dystopian sci fi movie feel, depending on which way your room faces. The place has seen better days, it's a bit run down and worn out but a small tip to housekeeping will get your room taken care of. The front desk workers aren't very interested, they aren't rude but they obviously don't want to be there. I was offended that one of them parks in the disabled parking stall, even with other spaces open right next. Really all of that might have been okay for the price I paid, but the other clientele were frightening. And I used to work overnight security at a doll factory.
