| - Thought we'd give UBBGs a try as we had a 241 lunch coupon, and while the Dog Park Dark Ale was really good and a bargain @ $3 a pint (a daily special) the service was not quite up to par and the good was forgettable. Would give a 2.5 stars if I could.
Décor & Ambiance. Very clean, good atmosphere, and nicely decorated - especially if you are a dog lover - and the music was not too loud. Garage doors allowed the place to be ventilated which is nice this time of year.
Food. Pepperoni and ham pizza: crust could have been a tad crispier, and the sauce was slightly sweet. Beer cheese soup: was more like queso, and needed more flavor from a good stock. Sizzling beef fajita salad: good mixture of greens, but the beef had a slight chili powder flavor, a couple of sprigs of cilantro, some jalapenos, a line wedge for the beef, and a few tortilla strips would have helped a lot - as would have another dressing and the beef not been cooked so much.
Service. Hostesses were very friendly, as was the entire staff. Our waiter however was not quite up to speed as he failed to ask: what side dish we wanted, whether the soup should have been served first rather than as side (yes), type of salad dressing, and degree of doneness for the beef fajitas. Then he failed to catch an overcharge on the bill.
All-in-all, a good place for a beer, but better pub food to be had elsewhere.
