| - This eatery was beyond my expectations for our recent foray for Restaurant week spring 2015. yes, it's uber hipster and trendy...lots of tattoos, skinny jeans, big janky beards, and gentleman's haircuts, but the food is really, really, really good!
i started with the ceviche...thick chunks of shrimp and onions and avocado. paired with these delicious crispy tortilla chips, it was off to a great start. the wife had the falling out salad, and the tender greens with the sweet/tart grapes was divine. our entree: sea bass for me (which is normally a no-no for me, considering i try my best for sustainability, and i swear i think this was caribbean sea bass and not chilean) and the veggie stack for the wife. both exquisite. the fish was cooked to tender perfection, but honestly, i liked the textural feel of my wifes dish a little more! plus, her side of mac n cheese was awesome.
for dessert...i had the rhubarb soda float...sour, but with the hit of vanilla ice cream, sweet and savory. she had some sort of parfait, both of which came from next door i think..their sister creamery Churn.
overall, our favorite stop during this season's episode of Restaurant week. hope we venture back!
