| - I came here to order a take out drink and was unexpectedly greeted with rude and despicable customer service. I ordered my drink in English, clearly stating I do not want ice or sugar, but the girl at the counter appeared to not have understood what I said and just stared at me blankly, not acknowledging my order at all. So one of her male coworkers walked up beside her at the takeout counter and whispered to her in Cantonese "Does she not know how to speak Chinese?" Referring to me because I didn't place my order in Chinese. Little did they know, I understood every word he said and I immediately switched to speaking in Cantonese without a hint of an accent, that I do not want ice or sugar in my drink. At that moment, their faces were in shock and they pretty much stopped yapping to each other until I left the place. I never knew it's a requirement to speak Chinese to be a customer. If so, maybe they should post a sign on their door, 'Staff does not speak or understands English'. The staff at ZenQ are ignorant and too stupid to understand the English language. No wonder the other Taiwanese Tea Shop next door, Cha Me Cha always has line ups out the door, while ZenQ is always nearly empty. The drink I ordered was also disgusting. It was mixed in with tap water and flavourless syrup. My advice, learn to treat all your customers with respect, irregardless what language they can or cannot speak. In the meantime, I highly recommend everyone to stay away as there are so many bubble tea shops in the area with way better drinks and better customer service.
