  • We've been here a couple of times before our visit today and have had some good service - nothing to write home about, but reasonably good service and good food that the husband loves. I decided to bring him here for Father's Day brunch since he loves their country fare. Boy, what a day to bring him on a special day ... Service: We had a reservation so were sat fairly quickly. However, we never had a server come to the table to get us drinks. It was 115 out today and we were hankering for water! So I had to ask someone bussing tables to see who was handling our area. Then, three people came to get our drink order out of confusion. We finally got in our water order, but juice was brought instead of mimosas we'd ordered since there were "too many cooks in the kitchen." Three times someone else came with food not meant for our table. We put in an order for my mom and myself to share the chicken and waffles and no share plate was brought. So, we asked the person who brought our food for one and he never came back. Again, I had to get up and ask the bartender to help with our drink order and for another plate (not his job.) Food: here is where we had no issues. We enjoyed our food we ordered. The portions were huge and there was plenty to share. Luckily hubby loved his chicken pot pie and had plenty to spare. Environment: it was a nice casual day full of dads enjoying their special day on Father's Day. Many servers told them happy Father's Day ... but my husband was not one of them. It was obvious too since our daughter was between us in a high chair and he was taking time with her throughout. I'm not sure we will be back. Of all days, this is a day we should see great service to someone like my husband celebrating Father's Day and it seemed like the restaurant was overflowing with people and mega busy when indeed it wasn't. The food is good, but I would rather wait longer at a smaller restaurant who takes more time to care about their customers.
