| - I came to REVIV after a bad case of food poisoning on 4th of July weekend, the one time I would have gladly preferred a hangover over this, but sadly, not a drop of alcohol was consumed to celebrate our great country's birthday, just a taco salad that would later wreak havoc on my body and leave me to be the only girl having to be carried out of the club for a non alcoholic related incident. So after the taco salad had been ejected from my body, I was in no shape to sit in a car for five hours to go home the following day. Wanting to avoid the long wait at the hospital, my brother asked around and found REVIV, and I was at death's doorstep so I didn't care where we went, I just wanted to be out of pain.
When we got to REVIV, the staff was extremely knowledgeable, compassionate, and were all very confident that an IV bag would take care of the nausea, fatigue, and aches. I ended up getting two bags because I was in pretty bad shape. They gave me the ULTRAVIV and the MEGABOOST and put me in a private room with a massage chair, three blankets, and a heater because I had the chills pretty badly. Staff members checked on me frequently and would update my family that was in the waiting area, they were even kind enough to recommend a place for them to eat while they waited for me to be finished.
It wasn't until the the last quarter of the MEGABOOST that I started to really feel better. I could stand up without looking a 90 year old woman with osteoporosis, the color was back in my face and the nausea was starting to dissipate. From the time we walked in to the time we left, it was probably an hour, which is nothing compared to a hospital stay. I couldn't believe how much better I felt walking out. Honestly, I was a little skeptical in the beginning, only because I was in pretty bad shape when I came in and I didn't even think God himself could cure me, but an hour into the drive home it was like I had never been sick. I felt great the entire rest of the day. I'm so glad an MGM staff member recommended REVIV to us because it was well worth the money and I felt great the entire rest of the day.
Pro tip: there's a lot of good places to eat in MGM, but I wouldn't recommend Tacos and Rita's because that's where I got food poisoning. I'm positive it was from there because my friend and I split our meal and he also got sick that night. And as thankful as I am to REVIV, I don't ever want to have to go there again, at least not for food poisoning. Had it have been a hangover, I would have had a much better story to tell. A taco salad that kicked my ass just doesn't earn me any cool points.
