I had a dream with my best friend in high school that we'd grow up (well, that part is debatable) and live in an apartment decorated in Pier 1 furniture. I would like to tell my high school self that she's going to be too broke for that. The big ticket items are way too pricey, but the small novelties (fun glasses and clearance throw rugs) are whimsical indulgences in my budget.
The staff here is usually friendly, it always smells wonderful (what is what "Pier 1 smell" because I want that as a candle in my house to make me feel like it's decorated by Pier 1?), and the stock is usually pretty well-kept. I dislike the clutter of some areas, though. It can get overwhelming at times, especially when the four-sided bookcases full of knick-knacks feel like they're closing in on you.
Props for keeping the space relatively tidy and always clean, having a great location, and filling the store with helpful staff members.
