| - I've been to all 3 Juliette et chocolat on the island, and I've always loved them... Chocolate, crepes, waffles, brownies, desserts, I mean there's no argue it's amazing.
I've been to this one on Ste Catherine several times as well, however I have not been very impressed.
I went one night with a couple of my girlfriend's, we were seated quickly and orders were placed promptly. We finished our meals and had our desserts. It took 2 hours to finish paying for our bills. First of all, they took over an hour to clear the tables of the dishes, then it took another half an hour just to get the bills (the place was barely 1/3 full but... There were only 2 waitresses working), it took another 20 minutes just to pay because the system was down... The waitress was very nice and gave us some chocolates for the inconvenience. (Unfortunately we didn't like the chocolates very much... The liquid interior of the chocolates were quite unusual in taste and extremely sweet and runny).
The food itself is good, the portions are on the small side considering the price. I ordered a waffle (for $11) and it came with a tiny waffle with whipped cream with the side of a small shot of chocolate and a tiny bowl of chocolate pearls. For the price I expected the waffle to be at least a little bigger... The taste itself was fine.
Came back again today for some hot chocolate and crepe. Both are delicious, don't get me wrong. The taste of their food is good. The service was better compared to last time, so it could have been just an off day for them. However I just can't seem to wrap my head around their prices. $10+tx for a chocolate crêpe, $5+TX for a brownie, $7+TX for a hot chocolate, $11+TX for a tiny waffle...
All in all, the food is very tasty, the hot chocolates are great, the chocolates themselves... I'm not a fan of, and the service at this location is a hit or miss depending on which day you go it would seem... I personally find the prices a bit high for what you're getting... But if you love chocolate it is a good place to go just for the experience of chocolate overload
I would ideally give it a 3.5.... But 0.5's isn't possible...
