I tried to buy insurance from them for my dog. I wanted to get the orthopedic waiting period waiver because otherwise a broken bone from an accident would not be covered if it occurred in the first 6-months. To get the waiver I needed to have the vet do an "orthopedic exam" and complete the Embrace "orthopedic exam" form. All well and good...when I asked my vet for an estimate to do the exam and complete the form she said to send her a copy of the form so she could see what exactly the Embrace "orthopedic exam" consisted of as insurance companies have many different requirements. Sounds very reasonable and professional to me. Embraced refused to give me a copy of the form until after I purchased the policy. And then the Embrace rep started dissing my vet for suggesting she would charge a different price depending on the nature of the examination embrace was requiring! How would my vet know what to charge without knowing what they wanted her to do? With that type of inane nonsense involved in purchasing a policy I can only imagine how difficult it must be to get an actual claim paid. I'll go elsewhere for my dog and cat's health insurance.
