So thankful we changed our original dinner reservations to try The Mission instead...such a GREAT find! We started off our meal with tableside guacamole (all the reviews had me sold!) It was everything I imagined and more. There were large chunks of avocadoes in the dip and the pepitas on top were a wonderful extra crunch! For dinner, I ordered the butternut squash tacos. Our waitress informed me that they were small so I also ordered a side of the white bean puree. My husband ordered the pork shoulder with corn tortillas. I absolutely loved my tacos and hated to take the final bite! Surprisingly, I didn't even miss the meat... the beans, squash, and avocado was a delicious combination. I also added a little of my white bean puree to the tacos and it was a tasty addition. I then finished off the dip with our leftover tortilla chips. There was no way I was leaving any of it behind! My husband loved his pork shoulder--our waitress said it was the chef's favorite dish to make and he did a fabulous job with it! The pork easily came apart with a fork, and with the sauces, he had five very flavorful mini tacos. His plate was also empty by the end of the night!
