| - Initially I was just driving my Mom here for her annual eye exam with Dr. Carolyn Cruvant ; since that involves dilating...I was her DD. The place is deceptively large once you step inside, with many Doctors (I want to say six or more) I'd volunteered to fill in any no-shows since I'm seriously overdue both an exam and new specs...five years on the exam for my distance-only specs - and nearly a year since one of the lenses popped out of my "rimless" Versace glasses as I was changing outfits for holiday soirees - making for a nail biter of a drive to Jade and Scott's amazing gathering post black-tie event on the Strip.
There are two waiting rooms, in one you fill out paperwork, then they call you back for exam part one, and send you back until you are called back for exam part two and dilate your eyes before you see the Doctor. Kind of tedious with all the back and forth, but you also have a chance to peruse their selection of glasses. Mom quickly found a pair she dug, but their designer frames were severely lacking IMO (less than a dozen total) so, even though I managed to also see the Dr., I did not choose to purchase frames/lenses/anti-glare/zombie Appocalypse protection upsell.
Though we have different insurance it only cost a copayment each, Mom left with a promise of picking her glasses up this week, myself with a new script and by the time I was through, her eyes were fine to drive.
Only complaint was with such huge waiting rooms, it was super noisy and LOTS of people seemed sick: coughing, spewing, snotting, etc. Made me wish I was sporting a surgical mask as several were. And, I was sick Sunday, don'tchyaknow?! Coincidence. ..dunno. But I docked a star for possible flu:Ebola:Monkey Pox exposure during our three hour tour.
