After walking the Glenmore reservoir, we decided we wanted a treat, and headed to Glenmore Landing. Actually that's a lie, I decided I wanted a treat and deserved it because i had worked/worked out really hard that day. Anyways, conveniently, Marble Slab was open late enough after our walk (they close at 10pm), and we were able to buy something good, instead of settling for processed crap - disgusting cupcakes that look moist 24/7, fake tasting cookies with way too much sugar - from Safeway, also in the Glenmore Landing stripmall.
While, they don't have a load of flavours, like some other ice cream shops, the ones they do have are really good ones. All ice cream includes a mixing (ore cookie, skor, reese's cup, gummies, marshmellows etc). The choices are endless. Me, trying to be 'health concious' opted for the coffee frozen yogurt - they have 4 or 5 yogurt flavors, and a reese's cup mix). It was so good, not crappy blandness like Yogin Fruz has. They also have a variety of waffle cones to choose from, and from what I can tell these are handmade waffelcones, not pre bought ones, which tasted great. The other ice cream we tries was peanut butter, also with the reese's cup. Even better! I have never had peanut butter ice cream taste like REAL peanut butter, heavy emphasis on the butter. It was so decadent, good thing it didn't belong to me, because these guys give good sized servings.
I'd also like to note the staff was SO friendly, so courteous and made this place somewhere I'll come back to, just because they were so great! And next time I'm trying the Red velvet ice cream...Red Velvet ice cream, come on!
