| - 2nd time I've eaten there. Both times was disappointed with the service and food. I don't feel welcome. The door sound alerts the staff that someone came in, but no one came to greet us. Second person comes in, ungreeted. Turns out it was a regular, and he knew to ring the bell next to the register repeatedly. A man walked out from the back, said "I like when the bell rings for me" and when he recognized the regular customer in back of us, was going to help him and pass us up.Not cool. Luckily the regular customer was, decent, and indicated that we were first. It gets worse. The man calls a man named Salvador from the back to help us, instead of wsiting on us, and proceeds to help tge regular customer. Salvador doesn't smile, doesn't look at you, and sometimes won't reply. Your order is taken by memory. Nothing is itemized on the bill. They apparently add it up as they go. I'm Latina, so I asked if he spoke Spanish, my last attempt at trying to be treated well. He did, and it helped us get a bit better service, somewhat.Does the owner know of the unwelcome feeling that many customers experience. Unfortunately, I gave them 2 chances, I doubt I'll go for three. Slow service, waiting and not being greeted, passed up for a regular customer, 2 items missing from our To Go order, Jamaican type empanadas, 1 item wrong, Roasted plantains instead of Fried plantains, and a high bill. In our "Eat There" order, one napkin was dirty, looked like Jerk seasoning got on it, 1 star because the rice is excellent, the jerk seasonings were wonderful, portions are big. I can't being myself to go back and pay for good food and being unwelcome. I haven't seen any replies from the owner on these reviews. When you're made unwelcome, the food won't taste good.
