Just like I rarely give out 5 star reviews, I also rarely give out 1 star reviews. But the bubble tea here is just bad. I ordered roasted milk tea. There is no tea taste and there is no roast taste. All I taste is milk ( real milk or powdered milk? I don't even know)
Also, reading the previous reviews from yelper and the replies from owner, it doesn't sound very welcoming. There's always both sides to a story, but to publicly call your customers disrespectful and uncultured, What does this say about the business and the people working there?
I'm a business owner myself and I understand how difficult it is to open a business but there is nothing more important than giving your customers respect and service. I would never call my customers disrespectful and uncultured, especially in a public forum.
But service aside, If you cannot do right on a simple roasted milk tea, then you have failed as a bubble tea shop. There's just way too many way better choices out there.
The business owner is right in that this is a board game cafe. So stop serving bubble tea! Charge your customers $1 for a can of pop, or a flat fee for playing boardgames. Business owner you may also want to look into changing the yelp business category. People are coming for bubble tea and food when they should be coming here for boardgames.
Misleading info leads to unrealistic expectations which leads to bad reviews.
I see potential in this place. And the fact that I am writing such a long review is because I hope the business owner would reflect on these reviews. Instead of defending your business and your employees, take these reviews as constructive criticism and thank your customers for taking the time to tell you what can be improved. They ARE the reviews that will make your business BETTER.
