| - The facilities of this gym is great! There's lots of machines to work on, many rooms classes to sign up for if you're interested. There's also a women's weight room to go in which makes me more comfortable, and there's not a lot of people in there. However, it can get quite busy during after work hours which makes sense. They keep the change rooms nice and clean which is a huge plus for me as I am very particular about the change rooms. They just ran out of paper towels, and the people said I had to wait the next day to get them. Really...
Although, its a lovely gym, the only reason why I'm giving it two stars is because of the customer service. I was on my friend's VIP list, and as a VIP guest you're allowed a two week complimentary pass. Now, this is not this gym's fault particularly but apparently it's like that with L.A. Fitness but apparently the two week pass was changed to one week. I checked with the L.A. Fitness in Woodbine and it was the same thing. The website clearly states as a guest you're allowed a two week complimentary pass, but then they changed it to one week because of the timing and the promotion. My problem is, if it's one week - at least change it on the website so other people know! Since I was already there, I just took the one week pass anyways but I felt there was a bit of unnecessary hassle for it because of the salesperson.
Besides the point, I felt very uncomfortable because the salesman was obviously trying to get me to buy some kind of pass from the gym probably for commission reason. He kept wanting to sit down and chat with me about my plans for using the gym but how can I tell somebody my plans especially if I haven't tried the gym out before, and I don't see a reason why I have to tell you what my plans are in particular. Eventually, I gave them my e-mail address so they could e-mail me the pass. I probably won't be returning for a while as I'm not the type who works out consistently.
