Following the decline of one of my favorite restaurants in town, I thought I would never smile again.
Izakaya Go has me smiling once more.
Every restaurant scene in any respectable city has to have a good selection of tapas joints (among other things of course). I am especially fond of the "small plate" joints as I tend to be a light eater, yet I love trying many items at once. Japanese tapas has always been on the top of my restaurant list because, well let's admit it, the Japanese just do food better than anyone.
We stopped in late night for a small snack before heading home. Of course as always, I ended up eating way more than I should have.
While I thoroughly enjoyed my Udon, the highlight of the evening was certainly the Ramen Burger. Using pork belly instead of ground beef was a simple stroke of genius, and the sauce was absolutely amazing. This just might be might favorite dish in all of Vegas.
Service was great (I think the owner was our server), but the place was a little slow. Which was too bad, I think more people need to hear about this place, I think it has a good chance of taking the place of that old favorite down the street that recently fell off its perch.
I definately recommend giving Izakaya Go a go.
