| - Finishing work early one summer afternoon, I decided to pop by this Nail salon on the way home as I was overdue for a pedi. Nail Garden is in a small plaza minutes from my house, so I decided to check it out.
The salon is quite small (fits, at most, about 4 customers at a time - though it seemed there were only two girls working when I popped by), and not terribly well lit, but quite clean and comfortable.
The prices are just a teeny bit pricy: $43 for a regular mani/pedi. You can usually find a good Nail Salon that offers a $35 mani/pedi, and while I don't mind paying more at a more upscale Salon, I feel like a salon of this type, size, and location would fit more in the $35 range.
The good thing about their prices is if you pay cash for a mani/pedi, you won't get charged tax, and if you pay cash for some of the other services, it is discounted (I paid 7% tax on my pedi.) I also like that they have kids mani/pedi prices - great idea to bring your little ones along for a little spa treatment :).
No complaints about the service. Quick and warm welcome upon entering. Pedicure was done nicely.
One weird thing I found is that they don't have nail dryers for your feet, only your hands. That's a bit of a putoff for me, since as soon as I walk through my door I have a clingy kitten that is sure to rub its fur on/near my feet, which I wouldn't want to get stuck to my freshly done nails.
I would say that there was nothing really that rung special enough about this place to bring me back, other than the fact that I live 5 minutes away. I will likely stick to my favourites over this spot in the future.
