| - CLE is United's smallest hub (except for Guam - A. B. Won Pat International [GUM]) but it boast connections to the West Coast, Florida, Mexico, Canada, and many smaller flights to the East Coast and Midwestern small towns. Because of its size, connecting in CLE is VERY simple, straightforward, and the personnel tend to be friendlier than that of larger airports (ORD, EWR...)
In terms of things to do, there's not much to write about - but CLE is about one of the easiest airports to navigate, full stop. There is free WiFi available.
United dominates Terminal C & D. US Airways, Frontier and American, Terminal A - and anyone else uses Terminal B.
There are 3 entrances to security - Checkpoint for A, B, and C/D. The checkpoints at A and B are *significantly* shorter lines, so you may want to consider using them. All checkpoints enter into the same holding area, so you need only walk 2 minutes more if you're flying out of C & D. (This could save you up to 30 mins.!)
The central food court actually boasts some pretty healthy options, and they're somewhat unique. Like AUS, CLE has tried to bring in local businesses - and "The Pub" is a good British-themed pub right in the airport. There are also some decent shops located right near the central food court.
