Received a call from someone from the property management (Living Well Homes) and they completely apologized for the situation and hassle we went through with this process. We originally thought that they would not refund the application fee, but due to the situation, they returned that back to us as well.
I believe this could have been avoided altogether if the employees are trained more thoroughly (but I understand everyone makes mistakes). The woman who assisted us could have simply asked a more experienced employee for help/clarification, but it meant a lot that they went out of their way to reach us and return our money back completely.
