  • Wondering why this place has such low ratings? I couldn't understand at first, but it's clear now. I left another review for Dr. Jan Fu, which is 5 stars and will remain that way, but it sounds like they may be understaffed, have people poorly trained or poor policies and procedures. At my follow-up appointment, I was prescribed two medications that were sent to the pharmacy electronically. After two days, I still hadn't received anything. So I called the office and was told they were having issues with their electronic system. Okay. Believable enough. It was then taken care of. The long and short was my insurance company reached out three different times to the office because they needed additional info to approve coverage, and they never received a response. I reached out multiple times with no response. Fast-forward, it's now two weeks that I've been trying to get these prescriptions. I called on a Friday and finally reach a very helpful and actual person. She says that they're short staffed and it probably won't be handled until Monday, but because I've been waiting so long, she will try and get it expedited for me. Awesome. Same day, couple hours later, I get a call from a girl named Adasia (Adaja?). While I was trying to explain what happened and understand what had been done, she kept interrupting me and repeating back incorrect information. I said, Please stop interrupting me and listen to what I'm saying. Wow!! This really pissed her off, and she got really nasty, said she'd call in my prescriptions and slammed the phone down before I could finish saying thank you and ask a question. Called the office manager and left a message because I was upset: Their office couldn't get things right and it had been 2 weeks, I'd made multiple calls and was trying to get it resolved, and one of their staff hung up on me. I had a right to be concerned at this point, and I was pretty sure the issue hadn't been resolved yet. I know when I asked Adasia to please listen, it was pleading and not angry because I wasn't angry at this point. I was so happy with Dr. Fu that a few hiccups along the way didn't bother me. I asked for a call back from the office manager and didn't receive one. In fairness, I wasn't sure if that was the right person. So I called the front desk, and Dawn (I think. She's the front desk lead) was super helpful, but usually I think management calls to make sure everything was resolved. So if that's important to you, you may not get it here. I was fine with the resolution I received when talking to Dawn. I'm just trying to be complete. So I call my insurance company, and whatever Adasia was supposed to take care of of course wasn't taken care of because she wouldn't listen to what I was telling her. Called Dawn again, and she took care of it. Okay. Everything is fine now....but not. I had an adverse reaction to one of the meds. I'm not at all upset with Dr. Fu or their office about that. It's not their fault. Dr. Fu's medical assistant Deanna is really nice. She said she could have Dr. Fu prescribe something else, and she would call in a new prescription. And here we are three days later with no prescription... Adasia was really the only rude person, but it just seems like their staff has problems executing things. I understand that things sometimes take time and effort to untangle, but it seems like there's a pattern here. I'm not even going to bother trying to call back. I can check what prescriptions have been called in online, and the new one wasn't sent in. Issues with their system? Just not enough people to do the work so stuff falls through the cracks? Who knows. So while I think Dr. Fu is fantastic, I would not recommend this place.
