I've stopped in on occasion to pick out gifts for people, but this time it was for me. I went on their website to reserve 2 copies of a book I needed for a book signing I would be attending the following day. When I arrived to pick up the books there was a long line yet it moved along smoothly. When it was my turn at the register, I explained to the guy that I ordered a couple of books online and gave him my name. The books were saved behind the counter which I liked because you just have to go to one spot to get your order and pay without the hassle of going through the store searching for what you are looking for or having to ask to help. The guy helping me was a little bizarre. He said as he brought my books back that I could have ordered online and had it all shipped to my house for a discount. I explained that found out last minute about a book signing that I wanted to attend and didn't have time waiting for them to be mailed to me. He then ask me if I was sure and I told him that I was very sure and didn't mind paying regular price for both books since I needed them right away. I get them letting customers know about different discounts and offers, but I sort of felt like he was a salesman that would have rather I buy the order online than in the store. I ended up getting my books and liked the convenience of reserving books online since sometimes certain stuff runs out. This way if it's in stock, they will send you an e-mail confirming that they have your items on hold at the location you selected and how long they will hold it for.
