I finally stopped in for lunch yesterday after passing this place a thousand times and thinking it was probably just another generic pizza place. Thank you Yelp gods for showing me otherwise.
The front entrance has a glass case full of tempting breads and baked sweets. Behind that is the seating area and I was directed to a booth. The restaurant was noticeably clean, which is always a plus. The servers were very pleasant and my drink was brought promptly.
An older woman was loudly demanding her money back near the front claiming to have waited forever for her order. That concerned me since I was on my lunch break and had to get back to work. But I took a chance and ordered a dinner salad with hot peppers and a slice of Sicilian with added basil. My salad came right away and was delicious. Crusty croutons, halved grape tomatoes, and a great zing from the peppers. Within 10 minutes or so, my pizza came. Perfectly baked crust. The sauce is ON POINT. I want to cover everything in that sauce because it will be amazing. The basil was present, but subtle and cheese was tasty. That sauce tho... I will definitely return. I'm excited to have found this gem of a place and will update when I try out the bakery.
