Really enjoyed the prompt and attentive service - my 4:30pm appointment started exactly at 4:30pm; was so relieved not to have to wait around for another half hour before it actually started (which happens at some other places that I've been to). Whew. It's a good thing too, as the balayage I picked meant a 4-hour process. Junji really took the time and care to make sure my new bob 'do was evenly cut, and paintstakingly painted on about 3 different colours to reach a natural look. I also liked that he actually checked on the dye process often, rather than passing it on to another stylist and doing something else. At $350 for the dye and about $80 for the cut, the prices aren't exactly low, but the effort and attention to details makes it worthwhile and I'll definitely be back.
TIPS:
- If you check in on Yelp, you can also get 10% off the services - just make sure you check in right as you're checking out and not earlier. It counts down and gives you only a 3 hour window to use it!
- Pay cash for a 10% discount
- All balayage services take roughly 4 hours, and the pricing depends on the colours / work intensity of the job
- If you pick a lighter (like grey) or blondeish colour, be prepared to go for toning touch-ups often. The trendy grey tones requires touch ups every 2 weeks, and toning is about $80 a pop
